married!

!! Yikes. I haven't updated in forever.....because I GOT MARRIED! Sneak peek.

PINKY

sometimes i have days where i think: i want to wear pink. lots and lots of pink and red lipstick! there's something about it that makes me feel super girly and i love it. my hair is getting long.

i am in love with my newly acquired cole haan shoes! (thanks to grey dog!) i'm not a sneaker kind of girl, but these floral cuties are perfect and legit comfy. 

today i slept in late with brock and the croissant, went grocery shopping and saw rise of the planet of the apes- EXCELLENT! if you love james franco and sci-fi, go see it. i have to say it's definitely in my top five favorite summer films of the year. i mentioned to brock the time i was at the chicago zoo and walked by the area that had a gorilla. he didn't seem pleased about being in his section and was less than amused by his surroundings and all the people. when he looked at me, it was the most unsettling experience i've ever had with an animal- the way his eyes looked, just...very human. i really hate the way zoos treat intelligent apes. it's really very sad.

i had a really bad week, but things are getting better. hope your weekend has been lovely so far, dears.

SUNFLOWERS

sunflowers are my absolute favorite. they were the first flower my godfather taught me how to plant/grow. today, i had a meeting with my florist and discussed my sunflower bouquet and the rest of the flowers to be used for the wedding. it's getting here so quickly i can't believe it! 

i can't wait to be in italy, one of the most beautiful places on earth.

explaining my absence

Oh dear, I know I have had quite the prolonged absence on my blog. It feels like sometimes I just have lulls of varying interest and free time- mostly the free time. My wedding is coming up in October and I feel like I am becoming increasingly overwhelmed with the amount of things I have to do. Even for such a small, intimate wedding there are so many details you have to work on! It's crazy. I do apologize that I did not update sooner or see what any of you darlings are up to. I will absolutely do my best during these next few insane months to keep you all updated- and more importantly, see what's happening in your worlds.

pinky preppy

hello lovelies! i'm apologizing again for my break in between blog posts, there's really no excuse for it. I hope you all have been doing super well and i will be catching up on your blogs today, pinky promise.

i've been really busy with work lately (which i'm loving by the way!) it makes all the difference to work with people you love working with and everyone is super supportive and we all have the same sense of humor. i genuinely look forward to going to work each day. it reminds me of something my current boss actually told me: "if you're not happy where you're at (job-wise), then do something about it. find something you love doing."

yesterday we walked to a sushi place close to work and had a celebration for one of my coworker's wedding anniversary and my birthday. 

other than that, i've been trying to keep up with wedding stuff and since time is running down i really need to stay on top of things.

my birthday was last sunday and it was awesome, to say the least. am i nerd for loving my 3DS and the fact that zelda comes out in week! yes....but fashionable one, i guess. ha!
